A burst supply line, an overflowing tub, or a storm surge under the back door doesn't wait for business hours, and neither do we. Our Des Moines-based teams arrive with truck-mount extractors, moisture meters, and drying gear staged and ready to go.
Hirex Water Damage started because homeowners in Des Moines, IA kept telling us the same story: a national hotline picked up, put them on hold, and then subcontracted the job out to whoever was cheapest and closest. Every technician on our Des Moines roster is a Hirex Water Damage employee, not a gig-app contractor pulled from a random directory.
Our crew leads carry IICRC water restoration certifications and have logged real hours on Category 1, 2, and 3 losses, so Water Damage Repair in Des Moines isn't a side service we tacked on β it's the reason the company exists. We carry full general liability coverage and are licensed to operate throughout Des Moines, IA, so you're protected from the moment our truck pulls into the driveway.
Because our equipment lives in a Des Moines, IA warehouse rather than out of state, we're not waiting on a supply run before we can start extraction.
Talk to a Des Moines property manager who's lived through an overnight pipe failure and they'll tell you exactly why a crew that arrives already equipped matters β every extra minute is more water in the framing. That's the gap Hirex Water Damage was built to close, one Des Moines call at a time.
Not every leak announces itself with a flooded floor. A lot of the worst damage we see in Des Moines started small and got ignored for weeks. Here's what tells us a property needs professional attention rather than a mop and a fan:
If any of that sounds familiar, don't wait for it to get worse β call our Des Moines line and we'll tell you honestly whether it's a same-day emergency or something we can schedule.
Whether it's one bedroom carpet or an entire flooded commercial floor, our Des Moines crews scale the response to match the loss β nothing gets a cookie-cutter response.
Truck-mounted extraction equipment on every Des Moines rig pulls high volumes of standing water fast, so drying starts the same day instead of the next. Every extraction job includes moisture mapping so we know exactly which materials are still holding water once the visible flooding is gone.
Our drying plans use moisture meters and thermal imaging to target air movers exactly where hidden moisture is trapped, with daily drying logs so you can see the numbers improving, not just take our word for it.
On the residential side in Des Moines, we handle the flood-cut, subfloor checks, and content pack-out so your home is ready to rebuild, with clear photo documentation at every stage for your insurance claim.
For commercial Des Moines accounts, we assign a project lead, run crews after normal hours to reduce downtime, and bring equipment sized to the actual footprint β we know a flooded lobby or a leaking unit above tenants below has to move fast.
When a Des Moines job involves sewage backup, our team suits up in full PPE, applies EPA-registered antimicrobials, and safely disposes of porous materials that can't be saved.
We apply antimicrobial treatment during every Des Moines drying job specifically to head off mold before it starts, and we'll flag any area that needs deeper remediation.
Every Des Moines estimate is written and explained before work begins β no vague "we'll see how it goes" pricing.
